Pre-production is in full swing for Elvis & Nixon, a movie about the meeting between the singer and president in 1970. Eric Bana is to play Elvis and we all know the hair alone is practically a character. The Elvis “do” is being created by wigmaker, Victoria Wood, who recently came to our production room to pick the hair. She hand selected European bulk hair from our bins that we keep for custom European hair orders.

We custom bleach and dye for European hair weft orders or just European bulk hair orders. We also try to keep in stock all the popular colors for quickcustom orders of weft hair extensions. Many of our customers use our color ring to communicate the blend combinations they would like for their client to achieve the most natural looking hair extensions or hair attachment. It normally takes about 2 weeks to create a set of custom European hair wefts or to blend and match the hair for a bulk hair order. We blend, highlight and hand tie the custom orders on-site. Or local customers come in and look through the bins for the exact color, texture and curl they need as with the Elvis project.  Elvis & Nixon won’t be released until next year, but it is always fun to see our hair going out the door knowing it will be made into such a great character wig.

We have a new shipment in that contains quite a lot of natural curly hair. After a long dry spell, we finally are getting in both short lengths and the unusually long lengths up to 22”. It doesn’t last so if you have been waiting for long natural curly lengths hair in loose or hair extensions please call us as soon as possible.

Usually natural curly hair is difficult to grow in lengths longer than 12 inches. We usually stock up to 16″ length and limited quantities of 18″ to 22″ lengths. With our bulk hair, we can custom dye and blend to match most colors for custom European bulk hair and European hair wefts or for stylists that like to blend and make their own hair extensions.

Natural curly hair will behave exactly like natural curly hair. It will frizz, break ends and dry out if not properly maintained and styled correctly. Please do not expect this hair to behave like chemically waved hair. The hair is treated to all color levels from 1 Natural until 10 Bleach (levels 11 and 12 are not offered). The darker the level the tighter the wave or curl as the bleach treatment begins to break the protein bonds and loosen the curl texture in lighter colors. Colors 10 Natural and 10 Bleach is the lightest colors we offer in our curly hair textures. Platinum blond curly hair is just not feasible and ends up looking fragile and frizzy.

Natural curly hair is available in fusion curly hair extensions (Poly), micro hair extensions (Cylinder), Indian wefted hair extensions, custom European hair extension wefts and custom European human hair bulk. The curly hair extensions can range from a loose curl to a tight wave depending upon the batch.

Great news for customers that have been waiting for some new Russian hair extensions and bulk hair for custom orders! We finally received a shipment with some beautiful Russian virgin hair ponytails. It is not a huge shipment but it does have high quality bundles and a nice assortment.

It does take time to sort, clean, tangle test, dry and then select for custom hair orders or for pretipped hair extensions. Our team is working as quickly as possible, but it may take a few more weeks before we have the pretipped extensions ready. We will have bulk hair ready for custom bulk orders or custom hand-tied weft orders within the next week or so.

By Mid-November we will be adding our newest Poly bond hair extension into our inventory.  This new version of poly bond is the strongest bond we have custom formulated.  It was created and tested by volunteer stylists and has proven to withstand salon treatments, wear and tear, and can hold for an average of four months or longer.  We recommend three months of use to avoid matting of the hair extensions which is caused naturally by hair growth.

We will first be releasing the top ten selling colors which will be soon followed by all other colors in 16″, 18″ and 20″ lengths of standard texture hair extensions.  At the start of 2011 we will add 22″ of standard texture hair extensions, curly textured Poly hair extensions, and the Layered Poly hair extension lines.

The Ionix Mild Shampoo is formulated especially for hair extensions care. Most shampoos on the market have an anionic charge (negative charge) as well as sodium lauryl sulfate, both of which can cause damage to hair. Long-term damages the tensile properties of the hair as well as a loss in moisture content.

How is scalp hair different from hair extensions? Hair that is still growing on the scalp contains sebaceous glands that produce oils as well as cuticles that protects the hair. Hair extensions no longer have their own natural oils to protect the hair and requires a shampoo that can preserve and extend the moisture content.

Our collection of curly hair extensions will cause waves when you wear these luscious locks. The gorgeous tresses come from private collection points from the Ukraine and India and we take great strides to collect hair extensions of varying degrees of curliness, from tight curls to loose waves. Because our hair is all natural in texture, you never need to worry about the hair losing its curls or having to perm the hair.

Curly Hair Extensions

We aim to apply the least amount of chemical applications so we can offer hair extensions with natural body and luster. In most cases, naturally curly hair is difficult to grow in lengths longer than 12 inches, but our stock is usually 16″ and a few 18″to 22″ lengths, which is very rare.

Copper rings (Shells or Tubes) are for the Cylinder Hair Extensions application method. Our rings are coated with a matte finish both on the inside and out to help camouflage the attachment areas.

The copper rings are installed by clamping the rings with the clients hair and the extensions. The Strand Hook should be used to slide the rings onto strands of hair. The cylinder hair tip is then placed in the ring with the hair. The rings are then pressed flat with our Universal Pliers. Make sure to clamp snugly, leaving no spaces within the ring to avoid slipping. Also use the Universal Pliers for opening the copper shells during removal.

Copper rings come in various sizes and colors. It is preferable to use a color that matches best to the roots and a size that correlates with the size of the hair extensions strands. Copper rings costs $20 for a jar of 250.
