a. Polytips

Polytips are a polyamide hot melt designed for adhering human hair fibers together for hair extensions. The bond dries clear on all hair colors. These pre-molded tips do not require a hot pot or heating vessel to apply. Each tip is formed into a very thin rectangular shape with the precise amount of hot melt required to make a single hair extension bond.

Unlike the large and bulky "keratin nails" the Polytips are precision made. Just drop a single Polytip onto the purging iron (Loof Iron), wait for it to melt and apply to the hair strand roots. Flatten or mold the tip as you like, trim off any excess and your extension strand is ready to attach.
Our Polymer adhesive was tested both in the lab and in the field making certain it was fast and easy to apply and did not dissolve under stress tests from hair dryers, conditioners and oily scalps.
Our polymer adhesive demonstrates excellent bond strength and high heat resistance. Its thick viscosity and fast open time make it very user friendly for both application and removal.
Application temperature for Polytips: Set extension iron to 350 degrees F (180 deg C)

 

b. Poly Capsules

Poly Capsules are polyamide hot melt pellets designed for adhering human hair fibers together for hair extensions. It will dry clear on all hair colors.

Small amber chips sealed in a zip-lock moisture free bag.

Each bag contains 30 grams and will yield approximately 800 pre-tipped extensions.

Our Polymer adhesive was tested both in the lab and in the field making certain it was fast and easy to apply and did not dissolve under stress tests from hair dryers, conditioners and oily scalps.

Our polymer adhesive demonstrates excellent bond strength and high heat resistance. Its thick viscosity and fast open time make it very user friendly for both application and removal.
Application temperature for Poly Capsules: Use our Hot Pot or melt at 350 degrees F (180 deg C)

 

c. Loof Iron

The Loof Extension iron is for the Polytips application when making your own strand by strand extensions for fusion bonding or for I-tip ring extensions. It can also be used for fusion extension applications.

The Loof iron has ergonomic designed cushion grips, double groove non-stick Teflon tips that heat on both sides, a swivel cord, an on/off switch and a temperature control switch.

 

d. Hot Pot

The standard Hot Pot has a solid base and shallow Teflon heating dish. Use for making pre-bonded hair extensions. Melt hot glue chips, pellets, discs or even sticks cut into pieces. For best results melt only small amounts at a time and wait until completely liquefied.

 

e. Poly Remover – Safe Extension Solvent

Poly Remover is a natural vegetable oil based formula that safely and effectively removes the hot melt adhesive of pre-tipped extensions.

Traditionally the hot melt extensions are removed using high percentages of Acetone or Alcohol that is not only harsh and drying for the client's hair and scalp but hazardous for the stylist to handle and breathe during the long process of removal. Other solvents that are less hazardous tend to be excessively oily, take more time to break down the hot melt glue and leave gummy residues throughout the client's hair.

• Works quickly to break down bonds without drying out the hair
• Slight oily liquid helps glue particles glide easily out of the hair and greatly assists combing out any tangles or matted hair.

 

f. Bond Remover Pliers

6” Soft grip pliers with square serrated tips for easily cracking bonds during removal of the Poly extensions.

 

g.Drawing Cards

Drawing cards are the perfect tool for managing your bulk hair and pre-tipped hair extensions. Drawing cards have been used by wigmakers for decades as a tool to hold the bundles of loose hair. It firmly holds the loose hair, keeps the roots aligned and prevents the hairs from tangling. Made of fibrous leather - 7" x 6"
For pre-tipped hair extensions you can place your bundles of hair inside the drawing cards - with different colors together - easily and quickly pull out one strand at a time while making your attachments.

Directions:

• Place one card on a table top with pins facing away from you.
• Remove any bindings on the bundle of hair and lay on top of the card.
• Make sure the top roots of the hair are facing you and the hair is evenly distributed on the card.
• Lay the top roots of hair 2-3 inches outside of the card.
• Place the top card, with pins facing away, on the hair and push the card together.
• The cards should close evenly with pins touching the other card or there is too much hair inside.
• Place a 2-5 lb weight on top of the cards to keep it in place.
• Now you can easily pull out the hair strands in the amount you want without tangling the remaining hair.
