- If well maintained the hair can last 9 months to a year. Usually after 2-3 reattachments about 20% of the tips will start to crack and need replacing.
How to price since Cylinder extensions are a reusable hair extension?
- Standard fusion (glue-in) extensions are averagely quoted at $1500 for a full head. Since this hair is reusable and the client does not have to buy hair every time you should charge slightly more. For example $10 per strand.

- Every 6-8 weeks the extrensions should be moved back up towards thr scalp. Remember you will want to pop open the rings, pull out completely, brush out any shedded hair and then reattach.

How much should I charge for maintenance of Cylinder extensions?
- Establish an hourly rate either based on what you normally charge for removal of pretipped strands.
- Or a slightly higher rate than you would normally charge for adding highlights.
How long will it take to perform the maintenance of Cylinder extensions?
- Much depends on if your client brushed the hair near the scalp regularly and if they kept their maintenance appointments you prearranged. Expect 3-5 hours, which can include removing tangles, reshaping tips, combing out shedded hair and restyling.
- Offer suggestions for Client to prepare their customer. Ie. Provide lunch, light foot massage, manicure/pedicure or other salon services.
During the maintenance of the Cylinder extensions should I completely take down the ring and extension strand or just move it back up near the scalp?
- You should always take the extension down so that you can comb out the shedded hair strands. If not when the client combs or washes their hair the first time after a maintenance all that shedded hair accumulated over 6-8 weeks will come out at once.

Why is your hair better?
- For two reasons: 1. We are the manufacturer and not the distributor and 2. we implement strict quality control measure on each and every bundle.
- We are the only hair extension company with an onsite R&D lab where we conduct strict testing ensuring the quality levels of the hair. We also own the factory where the hair originates from overseeing the hand-selection process to all test. I.e.: Color check and tangle testing. You will also be able to see a true difference with the samples we can send you.
I wanted to get more information about your hair.
- We offer three types of pretipped hair: Russian Virgin Hair, Premium Indian Hair and Layered Indian Hair. With this, there are two ways to attach the hair by our Cylinder or Poly methods. We offer the Layered Indian hair in hand-tied wefts. And we offer custom European and Russian virgin hair in bulk and hand-tied wefts.
- Layered hair is considered to be the most economical and Russian Virgin Hair is known to be our most natural and long lasting hair.
How do I choose or recommend to my client which type of hair?
- During the consulation, gauge their budget flexibility and dig for their preferances in terms of purpose of extensions, lifespan, and texture.
- From here, you can push which attachment method you, as the Stylist, are most comfortable with.
What is the difference between the Premium and Layered Indian hair?
- Premium hair is 75% drawn for fuller ends and less taper. For example 16" length hair has shorter length strands starting at 12" so the ends taper. Layered hair is single drawn for a natural growth look and thinner ends.
- Layered hair is best for adding fullness and no more than 4 inches of length for a natural layered look. Premium hair is best for adding length and creating sleek styles.
What tools and supplies do I need to start offering Hand-tied weft extension services?
The hair is dry and tangling on the ends. Why is this happening?
- All extension hair is cut hair that begins losing moisture from the moment it is cut from the scalp. After producing into hair extensions usually the hair has been bleached and dyed further drying out the hair. Extensions, regardless of hair type, require more care than scalp hair and must be well moisturized and protected for long wearing time.
- Our Ionix line was designed and lab tested for cut hair or hair extensions. Every product was created and tested in order to moisturize, reduce friction and retain elasticity.
What tools and supplies do I need to start offering Poly extension services?
- The Color Ring, Expert Iron, Poly Remover and Bond Remover Pliers.
