The main philosophy of Hair & Compounds is product quality. Not marketing and not service, which doesn’t mean that we are not trying to be the best in everything, but we are primarily manufacturers. And the main philosophy of our products is the quality. There are many factors that determine the success of a product: ease of application, functionality, variety, availability and so on.

Every single bundle of hair or hair extensions, whether manufactured in our India factory or in our Los Angeles company, are put through quality testing. A final measure performed in our Los Angeles location is that EVERY pre-tipped strand, hand-tied weft and loose hair bundle is tested before we ship it to you in the following manner:

    · Tangle Testing (Checking for inverted strands and normal cuticle behavior)

    · Color Matching (Must match master samples within 1/4 level in indirect sunlight)

    · Moisture Content (Checking for frizz, breakage and dullness using our moisture content analyzer)

    · Elasticity (Perform both dry and wet combing tests using our tensile strain tester)

We are manufacturing hair for the last 15 years, 10 years of which we integrate science into our processing and quality control techniques. All hair offered by us is hair that we have processed ourselves from purchasing point to finished goods. This is why we have our own offices in India and Ukraine. This enables us to have first choice of the best hair before raw hair is exported to other Western companies. The only items we import and distribute are the extension tools which is why we offer a lowest price guarantee.

Our hair extension lines are based on the value of hair quality over attachment – without excluding the importance of the attachment method. But hair quality is extremely important and we want to point out that in our many tests (we have here in LA the only R&D lab in the world of hair extensions) and control groups that we have conducted prior to launching this line we have received feedbacks that indicate a higher level of satisfaction in comparison to other strand by strand extensions in the market.

No tangles!! We have developed a scientific method to identify tangled hair which is often assisted by our powerful microscope to help locate any inverted hairs. Every bundle of hair is tangle tested before we ship to a customer.

Our bleached hair, including the light blond hair, will have the highest percentage of moisture in the hair. We invented our own bleaching recipe and application method to achieve softer, silkier and long lasting light blonds. And our colors are deeper and richer than the standard flat tones of limited colors usually offered. Our colors are made up of 12 levels with 3-5 different hues.

Since we are the real manufacturer we can demonstrate flexibility in our customer offerings like no other. For example, we can offer our customers to custom-make their own colors, blends, lengths and more (subject to minimums and delivery times).

Our Poly extension adhesive bond is not KERATIN adhesive simply because it doesn’t exist. If you will go to any lab and ask them to verify the existence of Keratin in a hot melt adhesive, most of the labs will be honest and save you the money just by telling you: “Don’t waste your money. It doesn’t exist and it would not give any added benefit.” Most of the companies don’t want to talk about that because it is a secret for them but the adhesive that most of the hot melt adhesives are made of is POLYAMIDE. There are thousands of different versions and only a few will fit into your “hair” needs.

Our hair is 100% Remy hair or Cuticle hair as properly termed. GUARANTEED! Hair is a physical object and as such it is a subject for research. We can measure today the strength, elasticity, light reflection, surface energy, curvature, rejection to combing forces, moisture (the single most important factor in hair extensions) and many other factors. These are the characters that will define quality and based on that we will also predict the “behavior” of hair in the near future.

Our hair care line, Ionix, was designed, tested and documented for the care and maintenance of “cut” hair and extensions. We designed Ionix by studying the hair fibers basic relationship and how it interacts with cleaning and conditioning agents—most specifically for hair extensions and hair replacements. We can provide you with a complete booklet and lab test results demonstrating the benefits of Ionix for your customers.

We are the only company that owns a fully equipped R&D lab. There are not a lot of things in hair that we can not explain on a scientific basis. All our production and the quality control systems are derived from our years of research where we have developed special bleaching and dyeing formulations. As opposed to some companies that “love” to tell stories about how they adopted methods from the wool industry, we are encouraging our customers to look at the end result and compare, especially our blonds, to any other blonds in the industry.
